Cell therapy for autoimmune diseases
Autoimmune diseases occur as a result of disorders in the immune system, leading to the development of a polyclonal immune response to its own antigens.
For effective correction of immune imbalance, mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) are used, which are a source of immunoregulatory substances aimed at increasing the pool of regulatory T-lymphocytes and suppression of effector T-cells.
The Institute has developed and implemented a method for the treatment of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) using a unique biomedical cell product (BMCP) based on allogeneic pooled MSCs of the olfactory lining.
The use of this BMKP is safe and allows you to effectively:
- suppress the formation of antibodies to their own tissues and normalize the patient’s immune status;
- slow down the processes of damage to internal organs and help restore their functional activity;
- normalize the indicators of coagulogram and lipid profile, transaminases, and hepatic markers;
- reduce the dose of basic therapy drugs;
- increase the duration of remission and reduce the frequency of relapses;
Ultimately, the use of this BMCP improves the quality of life of patients and prevents disability.
