On September 16, 2020, a young employee, Candidate of Biological Sciences, Poleshko Anna Grigorievna was appointed to the position of head of the laboratory of the molecular biology of cells at the Institute.

For many years this laboratory, one of the most successful and effective ones, was headed by Academician Igor Dmitrievich Volotovsky. Academician I.D. Volotovsky continues to work at the Institute as a chief researcher, scientific advisor, and consultant for numerous postgraduate and doctoral students.
