Assessment of specific immunity
Determination of antigen-specific T-cells to the SARS-CoV-2 virus is a unique method for assessing specific cellular immunity, developed by the scientists of our Institute. Determination of the presence of a T-cell immune response to the SARS-CoV-2 virus is relevant both for diagnosing a disease in patients with symptoms and for determining persons who have had this disease without symptoms. In addition, this study makes it possible to effectively assess not only the immune response after vaccination but also the intensity of specific immunity in risk groups and in those who have previously been ill.
To date, this is the most significant study, which, along with the determination of antibodies neutralizing the virus, makes it possible not only to characterize the patient’s immune response but also to predict the immune protection against repeated infections or after vaccination.
