History

Laboratory was founded in 1975 as a laboratory for the physical chemistry of biological membranes. In 2004 Laboratory was renamed as laboratory of medical biophysics.

Doctor of biological sciences, professor, laureate of the state prize of the Republic of Belarus Chernitsky Evgeny Aleksandrovich was the head of the laboratory from 1975 to 1999. Since 1999 the head of the laboratory is a corresponding member of NAS of Belarus,  doctor of biological sciences, professor Ekaterina I. Slobozhanina.
