This in vitro cellular method for diagnosing allergies is based on assessing changes in the expression of markers of basophil activation and\/or degranulation in response to allergen exposure using flow cytometry.<\/p>\n<p>When assessing the clinical significance of the diagnosed allergen, VAT serves as the same functional test as a provocative test, but performing this study eliminates the potential risk to the patient.<\/p>\n<p>Scientists at the Institute have developed a unique modification of the BAT, which allows for the most reliable diagnosis of IgE-mediated allergies, taking into account the immunofunctional properties of basophils.
