Research by means of molecular mechanics" in the same specialty. Published more than 180 scientific works, including 2 monographs (one published in the USA), 1 chapter in a monograph published in the USA, 17 articles in foreign scientific journals, 87 articles in publications from the Higher Attestation Commission list. For the first time in the world, he modeled the VDAC2, MTCH2, TOM receptors on the outer mitochondrial membrane and established their central role in apoptosis, and also developed a theory of pro-apoptotic displacement of apoptosis effector proteins from mitochondrial receptors by BH3-only proteins, leading to permeabilization of the outer mitochondrial membrane and apoptosis. V.G. Veresov, together with his students, developed a line of antitumor drugs - inhibitors of anti-apoptotic proteins of the Bcl-2 family, as well as a line of antitumor drugs - inhibitors of the PD-1/PD-L1 interaction, which have high antitumor potential.

e-mail: veresov@ibp.org.by

The main objectives of the Molecular Modeling and Bioinformatics Sector are:

— Conducting fundamental and applied research in the field of immunology, virology, biophysics, bioinformatics, molecular modeling and related disciplines.
— Molecular modeling.
