This cellular method for in vitro diagnostics of allergy is based on the assessment of changes in the expression of markers of activation and\/or degranulation of basophils in response to an allergen using the flow cytometry method.<\/p>\n<p>When assessing the clinical significance of a diagnosed allergen, BAT serves as the same functional test as a provocative test, but the performance of this study eliminates the potential risk to the patient.<\/p>\n<p>Scientists of the Institute have developed a unique modification of BAT, which allows for the most reliable diagnosis of IgE-mediated allergy, taking into account the immunofunctional properties of basophils.
